Andrea Riggs is an author, speaker, and workshop facilitator.  With a background in law and social justice, her mission is to empower women through honoring their spirit and wholeness in order to bring balance and harmony to themselves and humanity.

Andrea's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration and a law degree (JD) from the University of Missouri.  She was the Ewing Scholarship recipient for study abroad in International Business and Finance as part of her undergraduate studies.  In law school Andrea was a staff member on Law Review, The Moot Court Board and the International Law Society.

In the beginning of her career she worked for the Missouri Attorney General's office protecting consumer rights.  The next five years were spent in private practice as a litigator for small business clients.  Andrea then moved on to corporate America at a Fortune 500 international telecommunications company where her responsibilities included negotiating multi-million dollar agreements with other carriers and managing contract disputes.  It was during her work at this corporation of 30,000 world-wide employees that she encountered many other mid-life, career women and became familiar with the repeated, common struggles that women still face as a gender in America.

Andrea's career path took her to the west coast.  She now resides in Orange County, California, where she began further research and investigation into her observations about gender issues.  Many studies and reports confirmed that detrimental statistics and trends for young women are on the rise.  Puzzled by the dilemma that American women enjoy more freedoms than women anywhere in the world, yet have sky-rocketing at-risk tendencies, Andrea decided to explore this dichotomy.

Her extensive research and personal interviews on the subject of women's issues led her to several conclusions.  The research revealed that most of the skewed attitudes, false ideas and misperceptions about women are caused by the constant pressure and reinforcement of the media and by women's own environment, culture and childhood.  She also realized that because of the pervasiveness of the media in our society, many women are not aware of the limiting beliefs they have internalized.

Passionate about making a difference, Ms. Riggs uses proven techniques for working with these issues.  She has presented numerous courses on overcoming false core beliefs.  Her teachings offer real life experience, compassionate insight, and humor along with practical application.
